The tax form season is upon us!
You may have heard the myth that there is a certain date that all forms are legally to be provided. We know of no such date, but we do know that companies do their best to have all forms out within 8 to 10 weeks after the new year.
If you want to be proactive, the best way to get your investment tax forms is to go on line to each of your account managers web sites.
The websites of AssetMark, SEI, Wealthscape and American Funds are located on our web site under the login button.
While we want to help everyone with their documents, we don’t have the capacity to do this for all of our clients in a timely manner. Your help in logging into your own accounts will enable you to retrieve your forms as soon as they are available.
How do you know when they are available? We recommend checking in once a week starting second week of February.
Those of you that have K-1 forms coming should already know who you are. Those are the last forms that get loaded to the sites because these require much more labor hours for those companies. If you had a K-1 last year, you will likely have another one this year.
